I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was amazing, very clean and spacious; the best part was the huge window - it made the room even more open, we could see the Wright Monument in the distance, and the sunsets were phenomenal. The blackout blinds provided a very dark room at night, which I appreciated - no light leaks. Unlike other reviewers, I thought the breakfast was adequate, but I am not very picky. The scrambled eggs, and vegetarian omelettes on day 2, were awesome. Great breakfast area that can be used as a lounging area in the daytime. I travel with a dog and really appreciate that this place accepts dogs. The fee is steep - $ 100 - but it is per stay not per night, so if you stay at least two nights it is on par with what other hotels charge. My dog loved the window and spend much time there. I saw other dogs looking down on us from their windows in the evening - so cute. There is a small, securely fenced dog park. Other perks: Some covered parking, gated access across the street to the outdoor pool, a concession stand, a patio overlooking the beach, and the beach itself. Location is perfect if you want to explore this area - Harris Teeter and Fresh Market nearby, close to Nags Head, Wright Memorial, Jockey's Ridge State Park, etc. I hope to stay here again in the future.

The room was perfect and clean, great setup with the kitchen. We also used the outdoor grill on the patio one night which was a great amenity. The location was great with all your favorite places and parks nearby just a short drive away. You also get access to a beach house/ oceanfront access with they stay. The staff were all very friendly and the heated indoor salt water pool was great too! Really our only complaint about our stay was the complimentary breakfast was not great, everything else was wonderful! Would stay here again!

If I am being honest, I have NEVER stayed at a more beautiful hotel in all my life. The moment we walked in our room, I smelled cleaning supplies. And not in a bad way either. But just knowing that the room was CLEAN. It didn’t smell musty or look dirty. The kitchen area in the room had everything you needed to enjoy your stay if you didn’t want to eat out! And the FULL SIZE fridge?! Are you kidding me! Luxury! The hotel was very accommodating. And don’t get me started on the private entrance to the beach past the pool I literally wanted to stay longer. I will deffinitly be staying here again. 1000 out of 10 stars!

Great location across the street from the beach with the hotel having its own private access to the beach as well. Room was clean and nice to have the small kitchenette available. Morning free breakfast was satisfactory but nothing special. It is located within walking distance from Bob's Grill OBX, which is a great breakfast spot. The hotel's location is a convenient location as its right off the main highway. Theres some partially covered parking under the hotel itself as the building is elevated and has a wooden wheelchair ramp. One sliding door for the hotel entrance did keep getting stuck open while we were there and it was rainy/misty and windy so that may have been playing a factor. Hotel check in is not on the first floor when you walk in, you have to go up to check in. Inside pool available and small gym. Nice outdoor seating area with gas grill available to cook on.

Everything was great except for all the rust outside the hotel. All the metal is rusted because it's Steele. You figured the hotel would use aluminum or stainless.

Especially considering the winter price, this is a very nice hotel. Our room was clean, well maintained, and well equipped. Staff was nice and the distance to the beach is excellent.

Very nice facility overall including the dedicated beach access and outdoor pool across the street. Was a quiet location but close to any food or shopping you'd need and excellent room designs for a multiple day stay at the beach. Staff were all very helpful and cheerful as well. Good value overall for a block off te beach and would definitely return.

This hotel is nice, but the beds are not very comfortable, you could definitely feel springs and it was kinda hard. It is nice that our room had a small kitchenette and the shower was hot with good pressure. The breakfast was very basic and did not even have creamer for the coffee, only milk.
